Making Tax Digital is now firmly underway, with the first VAT returns for quarters ending on 30th June 2019 due to be filed by 7th August.
Through Making Tax Digital (MTD), HMRC aims to interact digitally with its customers and would ideally like all businesses who are over the VAT threshold to use online software and submit their VAT returns directly from there, although there are naturally some companies who are better suited to bridging software and others who are exempt from MTD altogether.
The cloud software companies have spent a lot of time developing their products to ensure they meet the requirements of MTD and have the ability to submit VAT returns directly to HMRC. Using cloud software provides businesses with greater insight in to their company’s financial performance and aids financial decision making.
Bernard Rogers & Co are proud to be a QuickBooks Online Platinum Partner, a Xero Bronze Partner and a KashFlow Bronze Partner, demonstrating our deep knowledge of cloud accounting software and the number of clients we work with across each of the platforms.
We understand the transition to cloud software can be challenging, so if you would like advice on selecting cloud software suitable to your business requirements or advice on MTD more broadly, please do get in touch.
